2021 SHIFT Early Bird Registration Now Open!

We are thrilled to announce that our SHIFT Childcare Leaders Conference will be back in-person this fall from October 5th-8th at the beautiful Balboa Bay Resort in Orange County, CA!

Just like previous conferences, we will limit attendance to 300 people for a more boutique childcare conference experience. Because of the limited size of our audience, SHIFT allows attendees more time to share their experiences, have meaningful conversations and bond with new industry acquaintances. We’ve also extended break times between sessions and lengthened our cocktail hours for even more networking opportunities. And, as always, we’ve tailored this year’s content to address the current challenges and opportunities facing the childcare industry. See what we have in store for each day below!

We kick off our one-of-a-kind childcare event with a spectacular All Aboard SHIFT 2021 welcome reception on the evening of Tuesday, October 5th from 6-9pm. This nautical-themed opening party will include complimentary food and drink, live music and a whole lot of fun!

Then, on day one—appropriately named Workforce Wednesday—we have scheduled a full day’s worth of staffing-related content. From our morning SHIFTER who rocked her staff retention throughout the pandemic to our afternoon breakouts with focuses on hiring, onboarding and staff costs to our incredible keynote, Jenn Lim, who will share how you can make happiness work for your company and staff. We’ll wrap up the day with a cocktail party on the Member’s Lawn including complimentary drinks, hors d’oeuvres and a table to pre-order Jenn’s upcoming book!

Day two—Thriving Thursday—will focus on all of the financial opportunities available to the childcare sector and how owners can access and implement them to grow their businesses. SHIFTERs, a panel discussion and breakout speakers will all discuss various topics on growth and opportunities available to childcare business owners. The day will conclude with a fantastic keynote from an Early Care and Education Consortium (ECEC) representative who has been working alongside early education CEOs to fight for funding for the sector throughout the pandemic. After the close of conference content (and a surprise announcement!), we will host attendees in the Bay View Room for a complimentary California wine tasting and cheese pairing experience with live entertainment.

Our final conference day—Future Friday—will reveal the great potential of the childcare industry after a year of reimagination. Look forward to a half day of speakers discussing all of the significant opportunities and positive trends affecting the childcare sector. The future is bright!
