Announcing Our 2020 SHIFT Theme: Essentialism

This year’s SHIFT Childcare Leaders Conference is all about what is essential to running and growing a prosperous early childhood company.

Many times, childcare business owners catch themselves working in their business instead of on it. And we get it, there is an incredible amount of incoming distractions. It’s easy for owners to get bogged down in tasks that might be good to do but aren’t essential to operating a quality, financially healthy business.

That’s where essentialism comes in.

essentialism
/ɪˈsɛnʃ(ə)lɪz(ə)m/

noun (PHILOSOPHY)

applying a more selective criteria for what is essential. The theory that a pursuit of less will allow us to regain control of our own choices so we can channel our time, energy and effort into making the highest possible contribution toward the goals and activities that matter.

Essentialists do less, but they do it better—making the highest possible contribution.

Practicing essentialism isn’t about getting more done in less time—it’s about getting only the right things done and regaining control of your choices and where you spend your time and energy instead of giving others permission to choose for you.

We’re thrilled to have the author of Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less, Greg McKeown, as this year’s SHIFT Celebrity Keynote. Greg draws on his experiences and insights working with leaders of some the most innovative companies in the world to demonstrate how to achieve the disciplined pursuit of less. We can’t wait for him to reveal some of these techniques with our attendees!

Attendees will also hear from childcare industry experts who will share their knowledge on the essential elements in staffing, marketing, financial health, real estate, company growth, security, etc.

So, get ready to cut through the clutter and find out what’s essential to building a strong and prosperous childcare business in 2020! Join us at SHIFT! Register now.
